Adam Clifton Ferguson, born May, 20, 1960 at Taborian Hospital in Mound Bayou, MS to Susie H. Lloyd and Artis Ferguson, Sr.
A.C. attended I.T. Montgomery Elementary School and graduated from John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Mound Bayou, MS. He later moved to Clarksdale, MS where he worked at Halls Gas Station doing what he loved as a station attendant and mechanic. He also worked at Delta Wire as a mechanic.
After he retired he was known as “AC THE LINCOLN MAN” He would often say, “if you can’t get the cab, just call AC”. A.C. was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Jordan, First Baptist Church at an early age.
Visitation will be Friday November 27, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday November 28, 2020, 11:00 AM at New Bethel MB Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens, Mound Bayou, MS.
A.C. was preceded in death by his brother Milton Ferguson and sister Mary Ann Ferguson.
A.C. leaves to cherish his memories his wife Shirley Ferguson; Karen Brown of Mound Bayou, MS, Zena Feelon of Huntsville, AL, Shirley (James) Ferguson-Hicks of Clarksdale, MS, Sharon Lunford of Memphis, TN, Armetria Montague of Bartlett, TN, Shirley Lang of Cleveland, MS, Shirley Washington of Memphis, TN, Cherry Davis of Virginia Beach, VA; three brothers Artis Ferguson Jr. of Clarksdale, MS, Joe Giles of Friars Point, MS, Patrick Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK; aunt Lottie Williams of Mound Bayou, MS; nieces Talora Brown and Valeria Brown; nephew LaMarcus Brown; a special friend David Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
