Andre' Melton Burt

Reflection of Life

Andre’ Melton Burt was born January 25, 1974 in Mound Bayou, MS to Diane Burt and Lester Branch and was blessed with an amazing step-father, Alfred Thomas at an early age.

Andre’ was affectionately called “Dre” by all of his loved ones.  He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Andre’ confessed the Lord as his Savior at an early age at New Bethel M.B. Church in Vance, MS under the leadership of the late Rev. E.T. Thomas, where he was a member until his death.

Andre’ was educated in the Clarksdale Public School District.  He worked at Save-A-Lot Foods for over ten years, Gunn’s Landscaping, and also Brown’s Construction.

Andre’ married Regina West Burt and loved his wife no matter what issues they faced until the end.

Visitation will be Friday July 10, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The graveside memorial will be Saturday July 11, 2020, 11:00 AM at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Hwy 61 South. Rev. Jerry Polite will be officiating.

Andre’ was preceded in death by his father Lester Branch, step-father Alfred Thomas, two grandmothers, Virginia B. Jenkins and Themla Branch; grandfather Alfred Thomas, Sr.

Andre’ leaves to cherish his loving memoires his wife Regina W. Burt; his amazing mother Diane Thomas, three sisters Virginia Broomfield (Patrick), Shonda Ford Landfair (Chris), and Aldemetrise Thomas (Jarvis); a host of other relatives and friends whom he loved wholeheartedly.
