Angela Denise Ward (also known as Nippy) passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, MS. She was born on October 23, 1962 to Leroy Wicks and Serella Chatman. Angela was a Family Service Coordinator at Coahoma Opportunities, Inc. for almost 15 years. She leaves behind a devoted husband of 25 years, James L. Ward; one daughter, LaKisha Chatman Gladden of Atlanta, GA; three sons, DeAndre Ward of Clarksdale, MS, Timothy Ward of West Warwick, Rhode Island and Damien Ward of Texarkana, AR. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren. Angela is survived by two brothers Andy Nolan, Jr. of Clarksdale, MS and Lawrence Nolan of Chicago, IL; four sisters Rosie Lee Coleman, Sherrie Ann Bee, Alice Taylor and Linda Chatman all of Clarksdale, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at New Light Missionary Baptist Church at 522 Arkansas Street, Helena, AR 72342 with Pastor Edward E. Wade, Jr. presiding. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS. Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the wake will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS.
