Annie accepted Christ at the age of twelve at Shady Grove Baptist Church, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi under the leadership of the late Reverend D.D. Smith. After her family moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi, she joined Bell Grove M. B. Church and later New Jerusalem M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Johnny B. Woods, Sr. where she served as First Lady until his death. She continued to be a faithful and devoted member under the leadership of Reverend Jimmy Glasper until her death. At New Jerusalem, she served on the mother board, Mother Board and was a member of the choir,Mass Choir and a member of the Pastor’s Aide Club.
Annie received her formal education in the Copiah County School District. She was employed in various capacities, including as a cook at Coahoma Community College, and Medical Technician for Dr (s) Lamb and Yates, and. She was also the proud owner of Annie Lee’s Fish Market.
In 1962, she united into Holy Matrimony to Reverend Johnny B. Woods, Sr. and unto this union five kids were born. They were married for 43 years until his death in 2005. Annie found love again and on November 8, 2008, she married Reverend Elvin Todd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was a faithful, devoted wife and First Lady. Rev. Todd was installed as the Pastor of Mount Moriah M.B. Church in Coahoma, Mississippi and Annie was a faithful, devoted wife and First Lady until her death.
Annie was a strong warrior and she fought a long and courageous battle and when. God saw that she was getting weary, and He called her home on June 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carey Minor and Rosie Minor Butler; her first husband, Reverend Johnny B. Woods, Sr.; son, Johnny B. “Cool” Woods, Jr.; godson, Rev. L,.C. Tyler, Sr. and goddaughter, Sarah Reed.
Visitation will be Thursday July 2, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home. The family hour will follow from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The graveside memorial will be Friday July 3, 2020, 1:00 PM at Heavenly Rest Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Glasper officiating.

LA, Reverend Larry (Veleria) Cozart of Lambert, MS, Thomas White of Oklahoma City, OK, Coy (Dionne) Todd of Midwest City, OK and Narvin Todd of Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters, Shirley Pettis of Oklahoma City, OK, Mary (Jessie) Tate and Patricia (Amos) Unger of Clarksdale, MS; two brothers, Rickey (Sandra) Minor of Marvel, AR and Dennis Butler of Houston, TX ;; two sisters -in -law, Colene Dewberry and Narviree Hines of Oklahoma City, OK; godmother, Rosie Alexander of Clarksdale, MS; Special Friend, Savannah Young of Clarksdale, MS; three godsons, Orlando Paden of Clarksdale, MS, Johnny Evans of Greenville, MS, and Roger Hinton of Columbus, OH; two goddaughters, Wilhelmenia (Johnny) Newson of Clarksdale, MS and Ramona Hinton of Columbus, OH; 27 grandchildren; 41 great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
