Archie D. Dukes was born to the late James and Rubye Dukes on April 9, 1951 in Coahoma County.
He accepted Christ at an early age. Archie received his formal education at Friars Point Elementary School and also attended Coahoma Agriculture High School.
Archie worked as a factory worker for many years. Archie loved spending time with family and friends. He was a big fan of the Detroit Lions.
Archie was placed in Clarksdale Nursing Home in October of 2004. On March 1, 2024, Archie departed this earthly life.
Funeral Services will be Saturday March 9, 2024, 11:00 AM, at Beautiful Zion MB Church with the Rev. Sammie L. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Friars Point Cemetery.
Archie was preceded in death by his parents the late James and Rubye Dukes; 2 brothers James Willie Dukes and Lionel Dukes, Sr.
Archie will be remembered for his kind and loving spirit by his sisters Rena Mae Moore of Friars Point, MS, Bobbie Robinson of Detroit, MI; 2 brothers Percy (Dorothy) Dukes of Clarksdale, MS, Elzie Dukes of Southaven, MS. Archie was loved by Mrs. Gwen Collins, Audrey Johnson, and Mary Garner. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
