Cartravious Dontrae' Brown Jr.

Cartravious Dontrae’ Brown Jr., affectionately known as “CJ”, was born December 7, 2013, to the union of Krystal Shanee Bailey and Cartravious Dontrae’ Brown Sr. in Clarksdale, MS at Northwest MS Medical Regional Center. CJ was a bright and advanced kid that would drill you with many questions of how and why. He was full of joy and brought happiness to everyone he crossed paths with.  

CJ transitioned to his heavenly resting place on Monday, October 11, 2021.  CJ was preceded in death by both of his great grandmothers, Lettie Wallace Brown and Daisy Bush.  In addition to his parents Krystal and Cartravious, CJ leaves to cherish his memories for a lifetime his one and only baby sister Caitlyn Michelle Brown; paternal grandparents, Alisha and Carl Jordan; maternal grandparents, Burnette Bailey and Ben Plez; (maternal) great grandmother, Aslean and Joe Eddie Bailey; special grandfather, Matthew Terrell; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other relatives.  

CJ attended Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he was an active member. CJ's primary education began at Aaron E. Henry Head Start where he later went to Heidelberg Elementary School completing Pre -K and currently attended Clarksdale Collegiate Public Charter School where he was in the 2nd Grade.    

CJ loved playing football, Roblox, and many other video games. He often played Roblox with his cousins, Kayden, Malik, and Kelci. He loved being a big brother and most importantly enjoyed being at school with his friends including his special friends, Ava Johnson, Jada Porter, and Tre’Kais Badger Jr. CJ loved everyone he met and knew that everyone loved him as well.
