Cedric Arthur Price
“Baby Boy”
Cedric was born to the late James Price Jr. and Connie Mae Walker Price during the early morning hours of June 5, 1983. He entered into this world weighing 9lbs/8oz, 20 inches long, making lots of noise.
Cedric confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He joined Greater Centennial Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M.A. Reed. He served as a member of the choir, usher board, and the drama class. He later joined Hebrew Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.H. Madden. Cedric attended public school. He graduated from Coahoma Agricultural High School in 2001. Cedric maintained employment at George H. Oliver Elementary School until his health begin to decline.
Cedric loved life and always kept everybody laughing. His children and family were always a priority. He was no pushover at any time and did not mind letting you know it. He went into eternal rest on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
Visitation will be Friday March 1, 2024, 1PM-3PM, at Royal Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Saturday March 2, 2024, 2:00 PM, at Union Grove MB Church. Rev. LC Tyler II, officiating. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Lyon, MS
Those who preceded him in death were his father, James Price Jr., paternal grandparents, Fred and Catherine Brumfield, maternal grandmother, Cornelius Saddler Walker, paternal grandparents, James and Fannie Price, his nephew, Tawon Jackson Jr., aunts, Ruthie Flemming, Catherine Price, uncles, James Walker, Edwin Price, and Carl Price.
Cedric leaves to mourn his passing: his mother, Connie M. Walker Price, his children, Cahari Price of Southaven, MS, Zedric Price, LaZerria Price, and Mariah Price of Clarksdale, MS. Cedric united in marriage to Kimbery Brown. They were wed for 7 years. To this union, no children were born. Siblings, Carlos D. Price of Clarksdale, MS, Altovize (Cleotha) Price Williams of Shaw, MS, Canetria (Ne-Ne) Price of Clarksdale, MS, and Archie (Benjamin) Bowers of Benton Harbor, MI, God-Brother, Rev. Cordell Fields of Byram, MS, and a host of other relatives and friends.
