Charles Thomas

Charles Thomas was born on October 12,1959 in Coahoma, Mississippi, to Sammie, Sr. and Catherine Thomas. Charles was proceeded in death by his father, Sammie Thomas, Sr., brother, Sammie Thomas, Jr, sisters, Linda Faye Thomas and Genette Randolph.

He was baptized at a young age into Christ at the Greater Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Rudyard, MS, where he remained an active and faithful choir member until he was called home.

Charles attended Coahoma Agricultural High School. He was owner and operator of CNJ’s. However, his greatest passion and pride remained in his world of plants and gardening that he shared with his daughter “Jan’Nise” where he found great happiness and joy. Charles was a very outgoing person who would hold a conversation with everyone. He truly loved singing and cooking.

Our Heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom summoned from this earthly journey another of his faithful soldier, Charles Thomas who answered the Master’s call on September 14, 2024. Charles was a devoted son, father, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend who touched everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.

Family Hour will be Friday September 27, 2024, at Royal Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  Public Viewing will be from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 28, 2024, 11:00 AM, at New Jerusalem MB Church, 835 Florida Ave., Clarksdale, MS 38614.  Burial will follow at Friars Point Cemetery, Friars Point, MS.  Rev. Elvin Todd will be officiating.  Rev. Jimmie Glasper, Pastor.
