Charlie Henry Banks Jr.

Charlie Henry Banks, Jr. was born December 16, 1950, to the late Charlie Henry Banks Sr. and the late Ruby Lee Anderson Banks in Clarksdale, MS. He was granted his angel wings and went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2024.

He attended Myrtle Hall Elementary and Higgins High School in Clarksdale, Ms. Charlie started driving tractor-trailer trucks in Columbia, South Carolina.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday March 23, 2024, at Royal Funeral Home.  The funeral ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM.  Rev. Kenneth Gooden, Pastor of New Covenant MB Church, will be officiating.  

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Henry Banks, Sr. and Ruby Lee Anderson, his stepfather, Willie James Robinson, Grandparents(maternal) Roy Lee Cupp, and Margaret Franklin Anderson, (paternal) Ellis and Lula R. Banks, and niece Tabitha (Tab) Robinson.

Charlie will be missed by his children: 2 sons: Timothy Ford and Derrick Banks of Dallas, TX; 2 daughters: Channing Liddell and Keisha Carter, both of Clarksdale, MS; 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild. 2 uncles: Lynn Banks from Riverside, CA and Larry Banks of Clarksdale, MS; 3 Brothers~ Roy Lee (Wilma) Banks of Clarksdale, MS, Willie (Tawana) Robinson of Hackensack, New Jersey and Robert (Tonya) Robinson of Allentown, Pennsylvania; 4 sisters~ Brenda (Joe) Golden Jr. of Darling, MS, Wanda Banks, Sharon Robinson and Tanzee Robinson all of Clarksdale, MS. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, including one special friend~ Ms. Barbara Toliver of Clarksdale, MS.
