Clifford Ray Williams was born January 18, 1953, in Chicago, IL to Maggie and Robert Williams.
Clifford was a skilled carpenter and his craftmanship was showcased throughout Clarksdale and surrounding areas. He was also very gifted in masonry, and just an all-around handyman.
Clifford departed this life Tuesday, August 26, 2025, a little after 5am in his sleep in the home of his daughter, Hope Gray. Visitation will be Friday September 5, 2025, from 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM at Royal Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Saturday September 6, 2025, 11:00 AM, at Union Grove MB Church. Burial will follow at McLaurin Memorial Gardens. Elder Samuel Melton, Sr. will be officiating.
Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Melton Williams; mother, Maggie Williams; 1 daughter Shunquita Boyd; 1 son Clifford Williams, Jr.; 1 brother Walter Lee Williams.
Clifford leaves to cherish his memories his father, Robert Williams, Sr.; 4 daughters, Edwina, Mary, Hope (Connell) Gray, Nekita McBroom; 2 sons, Thomas (Trina) Williams, Salelian McBroom; 2 sisters, Diane Jackson, Beverly Wells; 3 brothers, Issac Welch, Robert Williams, Woody J. Williams; a special grandchild, Takyria Conner; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
