THE LIFE AND TIMES OF Cord

Cordarrel Latraves Ross also known as "Cord" or "Clarksdale" was born July 22, 1987 in Clarksdale, MS to his Mother Patricia Ann Ross- Vineyard (Kelvin Vineyard) and his father, the late Leonard Jewett. Cord graduated from Central High School in Helena Arkansas in 2006 where he played football, and ran track. In 2007, Cord joined the United States Army where he served as an Army cool- 92 A- Automated Logistics specialist. On May 15, 2010, Cord married the love of his life, Jasmine Dandridge-Ross. Their union brought fourth his one and only child, his son, Zyaire Ross a.k.a. “Juice”.

Legacy and Remembrance
Cord life was marked by love, joy, and service. He was a devoted son, caring brother, loyal friend, and loving husband. His radiant smile and positive energy left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Cordarrel's legacy is one of kindness, integrity, and a commitment to making the world a better place.

Cord departed his journey on Earth to live with his Savior on November 7, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father Leonard Jewett, his grand- parents, L.C. Ross Sr. & Rosie Ross, Great Grand-mother Ora-Lee Stringer, Uncles-Roosevelt Travis, James "Sonny man" Stringer & Walter Lee Stringer, aunt: Helen Jean Stringer, & his baby brother Lendarious Jewett.

Visitation will be Saturday November 17, 2024 at Royal Funeral Home from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will be Sunday November 17, 2024, 2:00 PM, at Union Grove MB Church.  Burial will be at McLaurin Memorial Gardens.  Rev. LaDarious Cortez Ross will be officiating.  Rev. L.C. Tyler, II, pastor.  

He leaves behind and memories will be cherish by his Mother, Patricia Ross- Vineyard (Kevin Vineyard) of West-Helena, Arkansas, his wife, Jasmine Ross of Desoto, TX, His son, Zyaire Ross of Desoto, TX, his brother, Chandrell DeMarlo Owten of West Helena, Arkansas, his sisters Kylaisha Fair of Hornlake, MS, Tiffany Messenger (Dewayne Messenger) of Hornlake, MS, and Shaylin Jewett of Clarksdale, MS, Uncles: Carlos Jewett (Vanessa Jewett) of Atlanta, GA, L.C. Ross Jr (Loretta Tillman-Ross) of West Point, MS, Carlo Fair of Clarksdale, MS, Anson Robinson of Clarksdale, MS, Lorenzo, Robinson of Clarksdale, MS, Larry Huckleberry of Minneapolis, MN, his aunts Latonia Lee, Amanda Ross of Hornlake, MS, Sharon Ruffin of Seatle, WA, and Barbara Travis-Sykes (the late Eddie Sykes) of Clarksdale, MS Special cousins who were like siblings Ravius and Razius Benson of Hornlake, MS, Raven Ross-Ivy (Ramirez Ivy) of Columbus, MS, Jeremy "Champ" McGregory, Antonia Travis of Clarksdale, MS Mark Travis aka "lil-mike" of Clarksdale, MS, one God sister Kiera Metcalf of Minneapolis, MN and a host of other relatives and friends.
