Dorothy W. Whitehead, 65, of Sherard, MS, passed away Friday September 18, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was born May 5, 1950 in Sherard, MS to Willie Wright and Louise Smith. Mrs. Whitehead was currently serving as Cafeteria Manager at Sherard Elementary. Visitation will be Friday September 25, 2015 from 12pm-4pm at Royal Funeral Home. The wake will follow from 5pm-7pm at Sherard Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the COGIC State Headquarters Building with the Rev. James Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at the Heavenly Rest Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories 3 sons; Vernell Whitehead, Barnard Whitehead, Sedrick Whitehead; 1 daughter; Marcia Whitehead Ingram; 3 brothers; Joseph Smith, Walter Wright, Bruce Davis; 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren.
