Dovie Lee Berry, 85, of Clarksdale, MS died Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Houston, TX. Dovie was born August 6, 1931 in Clarksdale, MS to Dale and Marie (Jones) Jackson. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 25, 2016, at Royal Funeral Home from 1pm - 5pm. Funeral service is set for Saturday, November 26, 2016, 11:00 A.M., at St. James Church of God In Christ with Bishop T.T. Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Lyon, MS. Dovie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Victor Berry; mother and father; Dale and Marie Jackson; 1 brother; Ernest Jackson; 1 grandchild; Nehemiah. She leaves to cherish her memories 1 daughter, Linda Berry; 3 sons; Lynn Berry, Lawrence Berry, Anthony Calvin; 4 sisters; Tressie Spencer, Blanche Mixon, Mary Alice Williams, Ora Ann Dixon; 13 grandchildren; Tameka and Meosha Stuckey, John Michael, David Nathaniel, Noah, Annaliese and Abigail Berry, Hannah Berry, Delisa Calvin Johnson, Cassandra, Linda, Danielle, and Joseph Calvin; 8 great-great grandchildren; Kellin, Jacorry, Treyjan, Elexis, Alyiah, Jaden, Corrine, Harmony. She considered every child, and young adult that she met in Clarksdale as someone who needed to be mothered. She attempted to mother them all. It's far too many to name.
