Eddie Lee Rolling

Eddie Lee Rolling was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on February 10, 2023. He was born on February 4, 1943, to the late Ed and Minnie King Rolling in Lula, MS.

Eddie was a member of the 1962 graduating class of Aggie High School and continued his studies at Coahoma Junior College until he was drafted in the Vietnam War in 1963. After his tour of duty, he continues his education at Coahoma Junior College and Delta State University.  While attending Delta State University he met and married his belove wife, Carrie McDaniel Rolling. With this union, they shared and raised three children, Pamela Ann Rolling (Memphis, TN), Barbara Bell (Clarksdale, MS), Willie (Mary)Bell (Union City, TN). 

Eddie was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He was a loyal member of New Covenant M.B. Church where he served as a member of the Church Usher Ministry, Clarksdale Park Commission and Coahoma Opportunity Incorporate. Eddie worked as a dedicated, hardworking, and caring manager for 33 years at Clarksdale Civic Auditorium.

Visitation will be Friday February 17, 2023 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Royal Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held Saturday February 18, 2023, 11:00 AM, at New Covenant MB Church.  Rev. Kenneth Gooden will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

Eddie was preceded in death by his brother W.J. Neal.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Carrie; children, Pamela, Barbara, and Willie: grandchildren, Frank Stuckey Jr., Jeremy Stuckey I, Travis Bell, and Denise (DeWayne) Westbrook; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Stuckey II and Dewayne Westbrook III; siblings, Beatrice Crymes, Ilene Roach, Boggie Rolling, Barbara Ann Johnson, Julius (Katherine) Rolling, Elmer Rolling, Lee Andrew (Elizabeth) Rolling, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to mourn.
