Ezell Hughes, 68, passed away on March 14, 2017 in Chicago, IL at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Ezell was born September 4, 1948. Ezell listed in the United States Marine Corps on August 7, 1968 and was honorably discharged on February 5, 1970. During active duty, he served defending his country in the Vietnam War. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 21 at Acacia Baptist Church, 3680 Castleman, Memphis, TN 38118. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Burial will be Monday, April 24, 2:00 PM at the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125. Ezell leaves to cherish his memories 4 children, Michael Hughes, Vonzell Hughes, Vanessa Hughes, Ashaki Blair; 3 brothers; David McKay, Ed Hughes, James Hughes; 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
