Gladys Mary Marbley was born June 20, 1962 to Mary Lee Martin and the late Curtis Butler, Sr. Gladys confessed her hope in Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a dedicated member of Dennis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Gladys was united in holy matrimony on September 9, 1989 to Eddie Lee Marbley and was blessed with four children. On November 3, 2020, she completed her earthly journey. Gladys was known as a very dedicated person and a hard worker. Gladys was also known for spoiling her children, grandchildren, Godchild, and nephew Johnny “Jody” Ashley, who she raised as her own child. Gladys was employed with Sonic Drive-In for 29 ½ years and Colts Cradle Daycare Center for 2 years.
Gladys was preceded in death by her father Curtis Butler, Sr.; two brothers Curtis Butler, Jr., Michael Martin; grandmother Margaret “Modear” Chaney.
Visitation will be Friday November 13, 2020 at Royal Funeral Home from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A graveside memorial will be held Saturday November 14, 2020, 11:00 AM, at Oakridge Cemetery with the Rev. L.C. Tyler II officiating.
