God’s Angel of mercy silently closed the door of life of Gloria Jean Bruce on April 4, 2018
Gloria Jean Bruce was introduced to life on December 12, 1955 to Mary Connor and the late J.W. Bruce. Gloria was the youngest of four sisters.
Gloria gave her life to Christ at an early age and later joined Bell Grove M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Willie Morganfield and remained a member under the current leadership of Reverend Matthew H. Terrell.
Gloria graduated from Coahoma Agricultural (Aggie) High School on May 26, 1974 and later attended Coahoma Community College. Gloria was the life of the party and a hard-working employee at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, currently known as Merit Health, for 18 years.
Visitation will be from 1pm – 5pm Friday, April 13, 2018 at Royal Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will commence Saturday, April 14, 2018, 12:00 PM at Bell Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Matthew H. Terrell officiating. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Lyon, MS.
Gloria leaves to cherish her precious memories of life her mother and step father Mrs. Mary and Joe Connor of Clarksdale, MS; four children, Kisha Bruce, Adrian Bruce, Tykyla Bruce, all of Clarksdale, MS, and Keyata Bruce-Murphree of Olive Branch, MS; three sisters, Christine Curtis (Eddie) of Cincinnati, OH, Ernestine Bruce of Houston, TX, and Essie Bruce of Memphis, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Robnicka Woods, Shaneisha Woods, Jamarian Bruce, Tynyalyn Bruce, Alshun Ross, Adrianna Bruce, Adjah Turner, all of Clarksdale, MS, Justice James of Southaven, MS, Darrin Willis Jr., and JaQuez Murphee of Olive Branch, MS; three special grandchildren, Torrion Bruce, Taurean Leonard of Clarksdale, MS, and Andrea Murphree of Olive Branch, MS; a special friend, Larry Thomas, and a host of other relatives and friends.
