Harry Morris, 76, of Clarksdale, MS passed away Thursday February 6, 2020 at Northwest MS Regional Medical Center. Harry was born November 14, 1943 in Boca Raton, Florida to Laura and Willie James Morris.
Harry was a veteran of the United States Army, enlisting in the year of 1968 and honorably discharged in the year of 1973. Harry also served in Vietnam War and received numerous badges and medals of honor. Harry's highest rank in the US Army was an E-5 Sergeant. Harry has been a resident of Clarksdale for over fifty years after relocating from Colorado Springs, CO. Harry attended West Tallahatchie Church of God in Clarksdale, MS and was a Mason (Joseph Lodge 259).
Visitation will be Friday February 14, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Saturday February 15, 2020 at West Tallahatchie Church of God, 641 West Tallahatchie St., Clarksdale, MS 38614, 11:00 AM, with Dr. Buford Spain officiating. The body will also lie in state from 10:00 am - 11:00 am prior to the start of the homegoing celebration. Burial will commence at Oakridge Cemetery.
Harry leaves to cherish all of his everlasting memories his wife Rosemary Hunter-Morris; five children Carlos Morris, Marco Morris, Jason Morris, Tangela Morris-Ward, Harry Morris, Jr.; one sister Vicy Battle; one brother Freddie James Morris; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
