Hersey Bernard Mitchell was born on February 7, 1990 to Laura Ann Mitchell and Henry Washington Mitchell. Hersey departed this life on July 3, 2022 in a fatal car accident in Clarksville, TN.

Hersey graduated from Northeast High School in Clarksville, TN. Hersey was employed at Rainbow Inc. Hersey was a person who brought joy and cheer to everyone that he met.  Hersey enjoyed spending time with families and friends. He had a love for kids.

Visitation will be Friday July 8, 2022 from 5PM-7PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday July 9, 2022, 2:30 PM at Union Grove M.B. Church, 2237 North State St., Clarksdale, MS 38614.  Burial will follow at McLaurin Memorial Gardens.

Hersey was proceeded in death by his grandparents Henry Grandberry and Laura Mae Hampton; one Aunt Ruthie Lee Grandberry; one Uncle Henry Grandberry Jr.

Hersey leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Henry and Laura Ann Mitchell one brother Xavier Mitchell of Clarksville, TN.  Three aunts Rebecca (Lawrence) Cavette, Sherry (O’Neal) Clark, both of Memphis, TN, & Pricilla Woods (Nate) of West Palm Beach, FL; Two uncles Jerome Mitchell of Portland, OR & Ovid Miller of West Palm Beach, FL; A grandfather Larry Hampton and a cousin Lee Grandberry both of Clarksdale, MS. A loving girlfriend Kacey Wilkins & stepdaughter Karina Wilkins of Clarksville, TN. A special cousin/big sister Wykeshia (Chris) Johnson of Memphis, TN.

A special friend Louis Spencer of Nashville, TN and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and Friends.
