J.C. Sims

J.C. Sims was born October 1, 1946 in Glendora, MS to the late Minnie Taylor and J.C. Sims.  J.C. attended school at Lyon Elementary and Aggie High School. 

JC was a one-of-a-kind man and was known by many in his community in which he served as a Heating/Air and Appliance Technician for over 40 years.

J.C. transitioned to eternal peace on November 30, 2024, a date that also honored his 45th wedding anniversary with his loving and dedicated wife.

Visitation will be Saturday December 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.  

J.C. was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers Clarence Carr, Carnell Sims, and A.C. Sims; sisters, Shirley Fisher, Glory Sims- Pam, and Gloria Haggan; and his daughter, Jacqueline Sims.

J.C. leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 45 years, JoAnn Sims; two sons, Michael Sims and LaShun Sims; seven daughters, Carla Sims, Belinda (Eddie) Hicks, Erica Sims, Roxchelle Wiley, Charita Short, Krystal (Jeremy) Cockerham, and Lakendra Johnson. Six sisters, Minnie Chambers, Dollie Sims, Betty Sims, Viletta Sims, Essie (Curtis) Stanton and Whirley Bowman; four brothers, O’Neal (Robbie) Sims, Jessie (Clara) Sims, Michael (Shirley) Sims and Walter (Amber) Sims; 23 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
