Funeral Service for Ms. Jamesetta Powell will be held Saturday, August 23, at 12:00 PM at King Temple Baptist Church, Clarksdale, MS.

Ms. Powell, 74, passed away peacefully on August 12 in Bartlett, TN.

A graduate of Delta State University, Ms. Powell began her career at Immaculate Conception before devoting 32 years to teaching English at Coahoma Agricultural High School. She inspired generations of students with her love of learning, her compassion, and her steadfast commitment to excellence.

Her faithful service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and her tireless work in community initiatives touched countless hearts. Though she will be deeply missed, her enduring legacy of service, love, and mentorship will continue to illuminate the lives of all who knew her.
