Jeremy Jermaine Bates

Jeremy Jermaine Bates a.k.a. "JJ", 34, of Champaign, IL passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, IL Sunday December 29, 2019.  Jeremy, originally from Clarksdale, MS was born August 22, 1985 to Sharon Bates and Charles Stuckey.  

Jeremy was graduate of Clarksdale High School (Class of 2004), and continued his education at Parkland College in Champaign, IL.  Jeremy was known to be a speedster and also enjoyed shooting pool during his leisure time.  Jeremy was currently employed at Express Employment Professionals in Champaign, IL.

Visitation will be Friday January 10, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday January 11, 2020, 11:00 AM, at Union Grove M.B. Church.  Rev. James Jackson will be officiating and Rev. L.C. Tyler II is pastor.  The burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

Jeremy leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Sharon Bates, father, Charles Stuckey; 1 daughter, Kynzley Bates, 2 sons, Jayven Bates and Brayten Bates, and an unborn child due make its arrival February 28, 2020, all of Champaign, IL; 4 brothers, Kelby Bates of Gautier, MS, Brandon Bates of Champaign, IL, Enrique Bates of Biloxi, MS, Charles "Rudy" Miller of Clarksdale, MS; 4 sisters, Latoya Stuckey of Memphis, TN, Leandra Stuckey of Kansas City, MO, Ariane Bates of Houston, TX, and Karady Bates of Biloxi, MS; a host of other relatives and friends.
