Jimmy L. Brown, Jr. was born on June 26, 1964 in Memphis, TN. He was baptized at an early age in Clarksdale, MS and later as an adult in Jackson, MS at Amazing Institutional Church of God in Christ. As a child he attended Immaculate Conception School and Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, MS.
Jimmy grew up in Clarksdale, MS and worked as a bricklayer, a salesman with Kim’s Manufacturing Company, and later relocated to Jackson, MS where he worked at Stanton Body Shop with his Uncle Bobby in auto body and fender.
Jimmy will be missed for his mild-mannered disposition, his soft, gentle but piercing voice, his smiles, his suave personality, his gentleness, and his kindness. Most of all his loyalty, forgiving, and undying love for his family and friends will remain in our hearts.
Visitation will be held Friday April 9, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home. The graveside memorial will be Saturday Aptil 10, 2021, 12:00 Noon, at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In the event of inclement weather, the memorial service will be held at Royal Funeral Home
Jimmy was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, eight uncles, three aunts, several other great uncles, great aunts, cousins and friends.
Jimmy leaves to mourn his father: Jimmie L. Brown, Sr.; mother: Marjorie L. Stanton Brown; sister: Angelia Z. Brown; daughter: Leshara Thomas Williams; sons: Jabari and Jalani Henderson: nieces: Sheena and Brittany Brown; nephew: Bakari Brown; great nephews: Kaden and Brentley Brown, many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
