John Edward Brooks

John Edward Brooks,63, of Clarksdale,MS passed away Thursday August 27, 2020.  John was born June 21, 1957 in Lyon, MS to Henry Brooks and Rosie Phillips.  

John was known to be a handyman, gifted in many areas to name a few, carpentry and auto mechanic.  John was a member of St. Clara M.B. Church in Lyon, MS.  

Visitation will be Saturday September 5, 2020 from 7:00 PM - 8: 30 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be available Sunday September 6, 2020 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at Royal Funeral Home.  The graveside memorial will follow at Beautiful Zion Cemetery, Bobo, MS, 11:00 AM

John was preceded in death by his wife Julie Barnes-Brooks who passed away in 1996.

John leaves to cherish his memories his mother Rosie Lee Brooks-Lewis; four children Senacca Barnes of Lawrence, KS, Demetria Brooks-Burrage of Clarksdale, MS, Chiquita Murphy of Keithville, LA, and Nikita Brooks of Clarksdale, MS; one sister Shirley Brooks of Clarksdale, MS ; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, a host of other relatives and friends.
