Reflection of Life
John Logan Jr., also known as “Fat,” was born November 20, 1954, to Doretha and the late John Logan Sr. in Tallahatchie County and reared in Baltzer, MS. He was the oldest Son of 10children (5 boys and 5 girls) in which 2 proceeded him in death.
John departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, and moved on to his eternal home.
John accepted Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age at Mt. Olive M. B. Church under the leadership of Reverend L. C. Tyler, Sr. where he served as a deacon. He remained a dutiful member and continued to serve until God called him home.
John was the renowned D.J. around town A.K.A. the “Burning Bullet” and a farmer who worked with different farm owners operating heavy machinery for 45 years until he retired. He enjoyed selling CDs, hunting, cooking, spending time with his family and traveling the countryside. No matter where he went, he always enjoyed reminiscing about the good old past times and neighboring cities.
Proceeding John in death was his father (John, Sr.), 4 siblings(Roberta, Larry, Pauline, Johnnie Mae, and Mattie)
John leaves to cherish his memories to- two bonus children, Levetta and Andrew Conners, one grandson who he raised as a son Tevin Conners, Five brothers, Larry (Gloria) Nelson of Huston, TX, James Logan of Baltzer, MS; Bobby (Debra) and Charles (Pauline) Logan of Alligator, MS; Phillip (Toni) Carter of Little Rock, AR; Six Sisters Lorine Anderson of Memphis, TN; Betty Logan of Alligator, MS; Tometha Logan of Roundaway, MS; Joyce Logan of Clarksdale, MS; Yolanda Henderson-Kemp of Southaven, MS; and Sony (A.C.) Linsy of Pine Bluff, AR.
A longtime Special friend Willie “Wimp” Watson, and close friend James “Dirty“ Matthew a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
