Mr. Johnie B. Henderson was born to the late Charlie Henderson St. and the late Adean Mack Henderson on August 11, 1952 in Friars Point, Mississippi. God called Johnie home to eternal rest on July 28, 2022 in Oxford, Mississippi.
Johnie was baptized at the age of 10 at the Mt. Avery M. B. Church and was a faithful member until the age of 15 and began attending the Friendship (choir) M. B. Church in Friars Point until he moved away to Detroit Michigan after his graduation from Aggie High School in 1972.
Johnie was employed at Chrysler Motor Company a few years and later at Ford Motor Company until his retirement. After retiring and enjoying a life of freedom, he returned to his hometown of Friars Point and rejoined other family and friends, later he moved to Oxford, MS near his sister Nita where he remained with failing health until the end.
Johnie was preceded in death by his loving parents: Charlie and Adean Henderson, brothers Charlie Henderson Jr. and George Henderson Sr., sisters: ruby Henderson, Dorothy Percy and Betty M. Nickerson.
He leaves to cherish his happy memories his two sons, Johnathan Humphery of Clarksdale, MS and Andre Woods of Detroit, MI: two brothers Robert and James (Laura Ann) Henderson of Detroit, MI: sisters: Juanita (Jimmy) Vaughn of Oxford, MS, Judy M. (Charles) Billingsley and Andline Williams of Friars Point, MS; a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends~ special friends: Archie Dukes, John Pollard, Doristine Camper, Louise Harris, and sister in law Gwendlon Brown.
