Joseph Benard Davis Sr., 67, of Milwaukee, WI passed away peacefully Sunday March 15, 2020 at home. Joseph was born November 5, 1952 to John Rowe and Fannie Mae Davis (Conrad) in Clarksdale, MS.
Joseph was a hard working man. As a young man he worked as a farm worker. Later becoming a Police Officer in the Town of Friars Point, MS. He continued his protective role as a Security Officer with the Department of Human Services in Clarksdale, MS and Wells Fargo Bank in Milwaukee, WI. Joseph took his love for carpentry and founded C & D Home Improvement, LLC while maintaining his positions as a Welder with Mississippi Lime Stone and Advance Die Cast of Milwaukee, WI he continued to work as a Carpenter and then after until December of 2019 when his health began to fail him. He was talented and could fix nearly anything. He was NO AVERAGE JOE!
Visitation is tentatively scheduled at Royal Funeral Home Friday March 27, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, there will be a limit of (10) visitors at one time and we are asking those who desire to attend visitation to please take all the necessary precautions to protect yourself and those around you. If you are running fever, bad cough spells, or flu-like symptoms, please stay at home or in a quarantined environment. There will also be a visitation at Beautiful Zion MB Church, Friars Point, MS Saturday March 28, 2020 from 12:00 PM -1:00 PM and the funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. We're asking everyone to take the necessary precautions at the service as well. Burial will follow at Friars Point Cemetery.
Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Mae Davis, who passed away forty four days prior.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories his estranged wife Loretha Davis (Duckworth), four sons, Darren Johnson, Joseph B. Davis Jr., Christopher B. Williams Sr., Joshua Davis; seven daughters, Rekina Jackson, Kimyuana Stevenson, Carrie Jo Brandon, Tiffany Williams, Tilwanna Jackson, Joniciea Williams, Lutricia Davis; fifty two grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
