Julie’s Life Journey
One’s life span may be limited to a day, each chapter marked by the hour as it keeps pace with time.
All are in the hands of God who makes everything happen in the time he judges appropriate.
In the Beginning…On May 29, 1960, Julie was born to the late Willie C. Mitchell and Dorothy Lee Milton. She was preceded in death by her sister.
Spiritual Journey…Julie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Sunshine M.B. Church.
Education…Julie attended Dublin Elementary School and Coahoma County High School in Clarksdale, MS.
A Time for Family…The proud mother of four children, one daughter and three sons, eleven grandchildren, whom she adored.
A Time for Work…Julie was employed by the Grand and Harrah’s Casino for eighteen years.
A Time for Fun…Julie loved spending time with family and friends along with shopping on her spare time.
A Time to Transition…Julie was called to rest on Monday night, November 23, 2020 at 7:30 PM at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, MS.
A Celebration of Life…Visitation will be Friday December 4, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home. The Graveside Memorial will be Saturday December 5, 2020 at Carr Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Williams officiating. If you are preparing to attend the graveside memorial, please dress accordingly to the weather and remember to follow all CDC guidelines.
Cherishing her memories and celebrating her life’s journey…She leaves one daughter Terri Burks of Clarksdale, MS; three sons: Danny (Beatrice) Burks of Lansing, MI, Carmello (Shirley) Burks of Horn Lake, MS, Kerri Burks of Battle Creek, MI; one brother Farwett Milton of Clarksdale, MS; one step-brother Johnny (Lisa) Williams of Clarksdale, MS; eleven grandchildren; three aunts Virgie Miller of Lyon, MS, Beulah (Larry) Merritt and Lena Miller both of Gary, IN; Johnnie (Booker T.) Moore of Detroit, MI; one uncle William (Jack) Milton of Peoria, IL, and many loving relatives and friends near and far. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
