Reflections of Life
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
~ John 3:16~
Kattie Mae Malone was born in Tchula, Mississippi, on July 4, 1950, to Walter and Rebecca Wilson. She was raised in a family rooted in love and faith, and her life was a testament to the importance of family, faith, and perseverance.
Kattie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She had a passion for plants and gardening, finding joy in nurturing her beautiful garden. Known for her strong-willed nature, she was truly stubborn—she knew what she wanted and went after it with determination.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Malone; her daughter, Deshawn Simmons; sisters Nora, Earlene, China, and Ethel; and her parents, Walter and Rebecca Wilson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Robyn Brinerlange, Leshawn Braswell, Demetris Jones, and Daryl Briner Sr.; her siblings Betty Moore (Marshon Glover) and Walter Wilson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her special friend, Lorenzo Reed; along with other relatives and friends.
Kattie was a shining star wherever she went—Ms. Kat to all who knew her. Her spirit, strength, and love will be dearly missed.
Rest in peace, Ms. Kat. You will always be loved and remembered.
