Kenyartte Wofford

Mr. Kenyartte Knottmetric Wofford was born on December 31, 1973 to Quincy Williams (nee Wofford) and James Barr in Mound Bayou, MS.  He was raised in Clarksdale, MS where he was educated in the Coahoma County School District.  He later married Cashara Houston, and was the father of five children.  Kenyartte devoted his life to Christ and was a faithful member of The City of Truth Church, where he also worked, leading security until the time of his transition.  He departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Visitation will be Saturday July 6, 2024 at Royal Funeral Home from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will be Sunday, July 7, 2024 at The City of Truth, 2:00 PM.  Pastor Angela Ceazer will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.

Kenyartte was preceded in death by his mother, Quincy Williams, dad Johnnie Williams, sister Kalesha Larry, grandmothers Cora Lee Marbley and Rosie Barr, grandfathers Joel Wofford and Roosevelt Marbley, Sr., uncles Wilie Joe Wofford, Roosevelt Marbley, Jr, Kennedy Marbley, aunt and uncle Gladys and Eddie Marbley, who he loved as his second parents.

Kenyartte leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cashara Wofford; daughters Victoria Houston (Lorenzo), Kamaya Wofford; sons Howard Harris, Deangelo Houston, Ken Wofford, Jr.;10 grandchildren Zoey Gavin, Zahari Harris, Lorenzo Thomas, Jr., Camarri Martin, Jamarcus Wofford, Ace Alexander Henderson, AnDreya Orr, De’Myla Houston, De’Khylee Houston, De’Angelo Houston, Jr.; his father James Barr, sisters Jewerystine "Didi" Wofford Tribble (Torrence), Kawanda Fortner, Kalonda Fortner, Lashon Larry, Dinikia Orr, Jeanette Bell, Shirley Banks, Katrina Smalls, brothers Willie Earl Carr and Keenan Fortner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and family members that loved him dearly.

Affectionately known as Ken or Bo, Kenyartte was a friend to many and met everyone with a smile and warm greeting. He will truly be missed.
