Lenorma Lipsey

Lenorma Poindexter Lipsey, age 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 05, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, TN. She was born November 16, 1949, in Mattson, MS to Willie Lane and Artimease Poindexter. She was the youngest of (4) children being preceded in death by (2) brothers and (1) sister. She was a 1968 graduate of Coahoma Agricultural High School, furthering her education at Coahoma Junior College and Fresno City College Fresno, CA. She worked in education administration for many years. Her gift and passion were singing from an early age, becoming a lifelong gospel recording artist, poet and Christian evangelist always leaving room in her busy life for much charitable work, including the Care Station Kitchen feeding masses of the less fortunate in the MS delta.

Visitation will be Saturday February 15, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. 

She leaves to cherish her memory (3) sons: Michael (Carolyn) Perryman of Columbus, MS, Enin (Lakeya) Perryman of Mcdonough, GA and Jerry Poindexter of Las Angeles, CA. Also cherishing her memory are Adrian (Marci) Lee and Ellen Richardson of Fresno, CA, Darnell (Traci) Poindexter of Peoria, AZ and (7) grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and WONDERFUL FRIENDS.
