Leon Winters

Leon Winters was born April 26th 1986 to Leon Dear and Valesia Morris in Clarksdale, MS. 

Leon accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Bell Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Willie Morganfield. He later joined Mt. Zion M.B. church under the leadership of Rev. Orel Stokes. Leon graduated in 2005 from Clarksdale High school. After graduation he worked at various job. He was a jack of all trades and had knowledge beyond his years. A natural born leader, jokester, to know him was to love him deeply. 

Leon transitioned to be with the Lord Sunday, August 14th, 2022. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mary Dear , maternal grandmother Carlean Banks Winters and auntie Dianne Winters and Patricia Winters. 

Visitation will be Friday August 26, 2012 from 1pm-4pm at Royal Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held Saturday August 27, 2012, 1:30 PM, at Union Grove M.B. Church.  Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.

Leon leaves to cherish his memories, his Fathers Leon Dear & Napoleon Brewer; his mother Valesia Morris (Don); 3 sons Jaylin Winters, Camron Winters, Charles Vaughn; his fiancé Ethel Boulton; 4 brothers Cortez Winters, Desi Brewer, Leon Dear Napoleon Brewer Jr.; 4 sisters Shemeika West (Craig Jr.), Tangela Rich, Miesha Brady, Fiera Harper;  2 cousins as sisters Montana Winters, Brittany Johnson; 3 Cousins as brothers Dandrell Winters, Steven Winters, Allen Winters; Paternal Grandfather Eddie Lee Dear, Maternal Grandfather Jessie Winters; 2 God-sisters LeQuitta Shelton, Verlicia Johnson; 6 uncles  Michael, Steve (Michelle), Darrin & Curtis Winters all of Missouri , Arthur and Eddie Dear;  Aunts Monique Smith, Shanika Winters, Dorothy Phillips, Will Ann White, Charlene Walker; God uncle and aunt Christopher and Latonya Allen; a host of family and friends who will love and miss him.
