Lillie Bell Washington was born March 30, 1941 to the late John Brooks and Annie Brooks in Lambert, MS. She passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2016 at Merith Health Northwest Mississippi Hospital. Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Brooks; two children Annie Ruth Smith and Willie Jones. Seven siblings Annie Irons, Bessie Polnitz, Catherine Cheeks, Fannie Smith, George Jones, Irvin Brooks, Willie Brooks and a grandaughter, Takeitha Renee Jones. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children Ann Jones (Leroy) of Clarksdale, Mississippi; Jimmy Jones, Jr. of Peoria, Illinois and Shirley Coleman (James) of Clarksdale, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 12PM-5PM at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, March 25, 2016, 12:00 PM, at Union Grove M.B. Church, 2237 North State Street, Clarksdale, MS 38614. Rev. L.C. Tyler II is officiating. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Hwy 61S, Lyon, MS.
