Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
John 11:25
Lindy Stewart was born October 18, 1969, to Bishop Louis and Willie Mae Stewart. She attended church and confessed Christ at an early age. Lindy attended the Clarksdale High School.
Lindy was granted her angel wings on March 1, 2022, just 7 days after her deceased mother, Mrs. Willie Mae Stewart preceded her in death. Her final days were spent fighting to hold on to God’s unchanging hand. She touched hearts in a unique way throughout her memorable life. As she rests alongside her precious mother, her father who also preceded her in death is probably awaiting her to travel to Heaven. Even though her life may have seemed too short for many, we must all realize and understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which she lived. Her gentle smile brought joy to the family. Although Lindy left unexpectedly, she gave us all courage, hope, and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She enjoyed a humorous, business minded, phone conversation as well and was a lover of music. She loved to sing as well and had a voice of an angel. She enjoyed traveling and singing alongside her brother and two sons. Although she has passed on, the legacy of the Stewart family will be continued. This is the vow her son Isaiah made to her during her final hour on earth.
Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at Union Grove MB Church, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, Lambert, MS, 10:00 AM on Monday March 14, 2022.
Lindy is survived and will continue to be cherished by her loving children Isaiah, Mary Elizabeth, and Ezekiel Stewart, all of Clarksdale, MS; a brother, Louis Stewart Jr. of Clarksdale, MS, and her fiancé Reginald Hollingsworth of Horn Lake, MS; a host of maternal and paternal aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
God saw you were getting tired. He wrapped you in his living arms and whispered, “Come with me.” You tried so hard to stay with us, but your fight was not in vain…God took you to his loving home and freed you from the pain.
