Lionel Dukes

Lionel Dukes, 58, of Friars Point, MS died Wednesday July 31, 2019.  Lionel was born July 2, 1961 to James Dukes and Ruby Wadlington.

Lionel was self-employed as a carpenter was known throughout the Friars Point community.

Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2019 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Beautiful Zion M.B. Church, 5 Hwy 61, Friars Point, MS 38631.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, 1:00 PM, at the same location.  Rev. E.L. Martin of G.H.O.P.E. will be officiating.  Rev. Samuel Sculark is pastor.  The burial will follow at Friars Point Cemetery.

Lionel was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Dukes and father James Dukes; 2 sisters, Ruby Dukes and Annie Bee Foster; 1 brother, James Willie Dukes.

Lionel leaves to cherish his memories 3 children, Erica Pryor, LaChandra Smith, and Lionel Smith; 3 sisters, Rena Mae Moore, Cloat Williams, both of Friars Point, MS, & Bobbie Robinson of Atlanta, GA; 4 brothers, Archie Dukes, Percy Dukes (Dorothy), Terry Dukes, all of Clarksdale, MS,  & Elzie Dukes of Memphis, TN.; 8 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
