Marie Hammond, 77, of Clarksdale, MS passed away peacefully at Merit Health Northwest Friday February 3, 2017. Marie was born March 7, 1939 in Shaw, MS to Willie and Susie Fair (Haggan). During her working career, Marie worked as a dietitian in the health industry. Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2017 from 11am-6pm at Royal Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, February 18, 2017, 1:00 PM at Silent Grove M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Marie was preceded in death by her husband; Frankie Hammond Sr.; 1 son; Frankie D. Hammond, Jr.; 1 grandson; Marcus Fair. Marie leaves to cherish her memories 5 daughters, Diane Fair-Tharpe, Ruby J. Fair, Lillie Ann McMillian, Shirley Madden, Marie Hampton; 1 brother; Percy Fair; 3 sisters; Susie Mae Fair, Ruby Williams, Pearlie Mae Fair; 13 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
