Mark Simpson

Mark Simpson age 65, of Vance, Mississippi, departed this life peacefully on March 12, 2025, in Vance, MS. Born in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, Mark was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with his family.

Mark was known for his strong family bond, his ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him, and his love for fishing. Mark's legacy will continue through the generations he leaves behind.

Visitation will be Friday March 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday March 22, 2025, 2:00 PM, at Union Grove MB Church.  Burial will follow at Community Cemetery, Sumner, MS.  Rev. Thomas Bryant, officiating.  Rev. L.C. Tyler II, Pastor.

Parting this earth before Mark Dewayne Simpson Sr. were his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father Mr. John D. Simpson Sr.; His mother Mrs. Mozella Simpson; a sister Lorine Leach: 2 brothers John D. Simpson Jr. and Ernest Earl Simpson.

The memories of Mark Simpson Sr. will be cherished by his beloved three children: Lawanda Henley (Alex), Youmeka Simpson, and Mark Simpson Jr. (Sherronda). He also leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren: Michael Mitchell Jr., Jameria Simpson, Ariel White, Marchellos Scott Jr., Forever Milton, Chanah Furdge, Kiyon Williams, Almaree Simpson, and Aubree Henley, as well as his great-grandchild, Ja'Kobe Donald. Mark was the cherished brother of Dora Ellis of Webb, MS; Shirley Rogers of Friars Point, MS; Linda Simpson of Charleston, MS; James Leach of Sumner, MS; Jessie Simpson of Clarksdale, MS; Bernard Simpson of Clarksdale, MS; Roger Simpson of Tutwiler, MS; Mary Simpson of Charleston, MS; Mack Simpson of Enid, MS; Marie Simpson of Pueblo, Colorado; Robert Simpson of Denver, Colorado; Willie James Simpson of Jackson, MS; and Elizabeth Simpson of Blue Cane and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
