Marvell Griffin, 48, of Clarksdale, MS passed away Friday, October 28, 2016. Marvell was born on May 17, 1968 in Detroit, MI to Isaiah Bryant and Curly Mae Crockett. Marvell was currently employed at Mattson Gin. Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2016 from 1pm-5pm at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016, 11am, at Union Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Cori Jamsion officiating. Burial will follow at McLaurin Gardens Cemetery, Lyon, MS. He was preceded in death by his mother, Curley Mae Crockett; father; Isaiah Bryant; grandparents; Carey & Joanne Crockett; 3 brothers; Henry Griffin, Richard Griffin, and Robert Griffin. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Marilyn Lake Griffin; 2 children; Curley Foxx (Daughter), and Marvell Foxx (Son), both of Clarksdale, MS, and 5 stepchildren; 6 sisters; Willie Mae Crockett, Dorothy Yarbrough, Jeanette Davis, Denise Foxx, Regina Crockett, all of Clarksdale, MS, and Maryann Giffin Tolivar, from Friars Point, MS. He also leaves to cherish his memories several of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, 15 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, a special God Dad, John Addison, of Clarksdale, MS, and a special mother-in-law, Jerlean Cooper.
