Mary Frances Conley

Mary Frances Conley was born August 23, 1941, to Willie B. and Ruby Jane Thomas in Coahoma County. She departed this life at the age of 81 on Saturday, January 14, 2023, peacefully in her home.

Mary, known as Madea to family and friends, was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ where she served faithfully as an usher and choir member. She later joined Jesus is Real Ministries of Clarksdale, MS where she continued to serve as an usher and sang in the choir. She enjoyed singing and was a member of The Bells of Joy Gospel Group. She worked at Coca Cola Bottling Company for several years. Some of her hobbies included spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, sewing, doing hair, and making arts and crafts.

Visitation will be Saturday January 21, 2023 from 1PM - 4PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life will be Sunday, January 22, 2023, 2:00 PM, at Union Grove MB Church. Rev. Kenneth Rucker is officiating.  Rev. L.C. Tyler, II is Pastor.  Burail will be at Palastine Cemetery, Deloach Road.  

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Willie B. Thomas Sr., mother, Ruby Jane Thomas, husband, Lemual Pete Conley, son W.L. Williams, four sisters, Annie Laura Washington, Elizabeth Thomas, Dorothy Jean Thomas, and Carolyn Thomas, two brothers Samuel Thomas and James White.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Shirley (Curtis) Jackson of Tunica, MS, Elizabeth (Danny) Streeter and Lorraine Williams of Clarksdale, MS; Six sisters, Susie Thomas and Ruby Thomas of Clarksdale, MS, Rosie Taylor, Mary B. Langston, Mary Ann Thomas, and Patricia Thomas, of Lansing, MI; Nine brothers, Willie B. Thomas, Freddie B. Thomas, Robert Thomas of Clarksdale, MS, Earnest (Joanne) Thomas, Dexter Thomas, John W. (Flora)Thomas, John (Leola) Mitchell, Genus (Melissa) Thomas of Lansing, MI, Edward Boone of Memphis, TN; Ten grandsons, LaMarcus Streeter, DeAnthony Streeter, Darrius Streeter, Danny M. Streeter, Joshua Streeter, Joseph Streeter, Leonard Thomas, Liddell Houston, Donyell Houston, and Ronnie Williams; Five granddaughters Tiawanna Williams Karmeshia Williams, MaShelia Thomas, Danielle Streeter and Cashara Cotton; one God daughter and special caretaker, Shelia Ray of Clarksdale, MS and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
