Mary Williams Obituary

Mary Lee Williams was born November 14, 1961 in Coahoma, Mississippi to Charlie Williams Sr. and Sallie Mae McCoy-Williams.

Mary was called “Maylee” & also “Mouse” by her family and friends. Mary was a loving soul and always kept a smile on her face. Mary loved with her whole heart. Mary treasured his family and friends but most of all her children, grandchildren and her great grand.

Mary confessed the Lord as her savior at an early age and was a member of The Restitution of Hope Church under the leadership of the late Carl Watkins.

Mary was educated in the Coahoma County school system. Mary worked at Sheraton Casino for 5 years, Goldstrike Casino for 8 years and was employed at Fitz Casino until her health failed.

Visitation will be Friday September 4, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  A family hour will follow from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  A graveside memorial will be held Saturday September 5, 2020, 11:00 AM, at Friars Point Cemetery. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Williams Sr. & Sallie Mae McCoy-Williams, grandparents West Williams, Cora Williams & Sallie Mae Moore, one sister Eula Davenport, three brothers JC Watkins, Carl Watkins, & Jimmy McCoy, one aunt Shirley Williams, three uncles Roger Williams, James McCoy & Monroe McCoy, and two great nephew Trecorrious Dunn & DeAndre Tyson.

Mary leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughter Felicia Williams of Horn Lake MS, her son Charles Melton of Horn Lake MS, seven sister Sallie Mae (Paul) Wright of South Carolina, Kathryn Williams of Ripley MS, Charlene (JC) Brownlee, Dorothy(Bruno) Anderson, Niecy Sawyer, & Helen Williams all of Friars Point MS, and Alice Mae Young of Clarksdale, MS. Six brothers Hugh (Alleshia) Bagley, Johnny Williams & Samuel Williams all of Friars Point MS, Montie (Jermaine) Watkins of Baton Rouge LA, James (Dorothy) McCoy of U-City MO, and Charlie Williams Jr. of Arkansas. One sister-n-law Johnnie Watkins of Clarksdale MS. One aunt Cora Williams of Friars Pont MS, two grandchildren Rodrick Gilliam 2nd & Jaria Hampton, one great grand Rodrick Gilliam 3rd, one special son-in-law Marcus Reddick and a host of other relatives and friends.
