Mathie Leon Henderson

Mathie "Mack" Leon Henderson, 67, was born February 28, 1953 to Walter and Pearline (Stokes) Henderson in Clarksdale, MS.

Mack was an avid educator.  He received his doctoral degree in Education Leadership.  Mack relocated to Twentynine Palms, CA from Fuquay Varina, NC, and later migrated to Shreveport, Louisiana, to enjoy his retirement. Mack passed away on Friday April 10, 2020 at his home.  

Mack lived a quiet, but good life.  Outside of teaching, he enjoyed his passion, music.  He was a member of the Shreveport orchestra.

Visitation will be Friday April 24, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  A graveside memorial will be Saturday April 25, 2020, 2:00 PM at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

Mack leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Mrs. Pearline Henderson; one son Erik Henderson; four aunts Mrs. Savannah Young and Mrs. Bernice Liner of Clarksdale, MS; Mrs. Bertha Henderson of Elyria, OH; and Ms. DeeEtta Henderson of Oberlin, OH; one uncle Mr. Curtis Henderson of Elyria, OH; a host of other relatives and friends.
