Michele A. Shaw, 49, of Clarksdale, MS passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. She was born on September 22, 1966 in Clarksdale, MS to Thomas E. Shaw and Ora Van Bibber. During her career, Michele worked as a teacher's assistant for the Clarksdale Municipal School District. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Royal Funeral Home from 1pm-5pm. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016, 11am, at C.O.G.I.C. State Headquarters with Bishop T.T. Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Shaw Family Cemetery, Farrell, MS. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul D. Shaw. She leaves to cherish her memories her father, Thomas E. Shaw, mother, Ora Shaw; daughter; Toralyn Shaw; 3 sisters; Gwendolyn Shaw, Yvette Westerlund (Rickard), Tonetta Shaw; 6 nieces; Lakeisha Williams, Jakaila Mason, Aerolyn Shaw, Jalisa Shaw, Mia Westerlund, McKenzye Martin; 5 nephews; Christopher Shaw (Carly), Ryan Shaw, Xavier Woods, Jonathan Westerlund, Johannes Westerlund; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins including Jacquelyn D. Seaton and Pinkie Shaw; a special brother, Sylvester Lee, and 2 special sisters, Wanda Lee Farmer & Debbie Ratcliff-Johnson. The family would like to give a special recognition to Dr. Kenneth Kellough. Michele also had many special friends. Royal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
