Mildred Robinson Brown

Mildred Robinson Brown was born December 14, 1954 in Farrell, MS to the late Miller Robinson and Pearlie B. Robinson.  She accepted her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Farrell, MS under the leadership of Rev. Robinson.  Mildred later joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  She was a faithful and devoted member, assistant secretary, and choir member in God called her home.

Mildred was educated in the Coahoma County School System.  In 2001, Mildred was united in holy matrimony to Johnny Lee Brown until she departed this earthly life of August 3, 2020 at Northwest MS Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, MS.  

Visitation will be Friday August 14, 2020 at Royal Funeral Home from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.  The graveside memorial will be Saturday August 15, 2020, 11:30 AM at McLaurin Gardens  with Rev. Sam Harris officiating.

Mildred was preceded in death by two sons Melvin Robinson Jr. and Demonica Robinson; a granddaughter Aroniesha Robinson; her parents Miller and Pearlie B. Robinson; one sister Dorothy Palmer; four brothers Eddie B. Stone, Willie B. Stone, J.C. Robinson, and Miller Robinson, Jr.; one brother-in-law Roosevelt Dotson; two friends Laura Hampton and Rachel McBride Keys.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband Johnny Lee Brown of Clarksdale, MS; six daughters Lorine Grandberry (Henry-Deceased), Doris Smith (John), Meredith Robinson (Horace), Leona Clark, Tomeka Brown (Recarlo), McShelle Brown (Ricky), all of Clarksdale, MS; three sons Melvin Robinson (Barbreanna), Lucas Robinson (Fonda), Johnny Lee Brown, Jr. (Stephany), all of Clarksdale, MS; three sons she took in under her wings as if they were her own Robert Jones, Melvin Stevenson, both of Clarksdale, MS, Jeffrey Carlyle of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Vinnie Grace (Larry), Lucy Dotson (Roosevelt), both of Clarksdale, MS, Teretha Tullison of Memphis, TN, Mary Ella Robinson of Jackson, MS; one brother Gabe Robinson of Omaha Nebraska; her grandchildren Jovaugh, Dykelius, Kelvin, Mildred, Lucy, Vinnie, Henry, Walter, Kyndria, Horace III, Trevelis, Romonica, Edward, Viniesha, Lardaruis, Diamond, Kadrianna, KeDarrius, Kedasia, Ketauis, and Journe; one favorite cousin Gladys Rosebur, a host of other relatives and friends.
