Nettie Weatherspoon

Nettie Weatherspoon, 86, of Clarksdale, MS passed away Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Northwest MS Regional Medical Center.  Nettie was born September 14, 1934 to James Weatherspoon and Elnora Robinson.

Nettie was known for her sense of humor and was loved dearly by her family and those she came in contact with.  

Visitation will be Friday January 1, 2021 from 1:00PM - 4:00PM followed by a family hour from 4:00PM - 6:00 PM.  A graveside  memorial will be held Saturday January 2, 2021, 11:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church, 1-99 Harry Black Road, Clarksdale, MS 38614.  Rev. Samuel Sculark will be officiating.  

Nettie was preceded in death by four children Alice Weatherspoon, Willie Weatherspoon, Andrew Reggans, Nelson Weatherspoon; one sister Catherine Weatherspoon.

Nettie leaves to cherish her memories thirteen children JoAnn (J.C.) Sims, Dorothy (Roy) Woods, Lula (Percy) Perry, Terrie (Jeffery) Lofton, Debra (Trin) Babers, Anthony (Jacqueline) Weatherspoon, Sharron (Glenn) Matthews, Darrell Weatherspoon, Doris Weatherspoon, Janice (Tony) Smith, Terrial Weatherspoon, Patrick Weatherspoon, Derrick Weatherspoon, and their siblings Sandra Starks, Georgia Starks, Edward (Theresa) Starks, and Tameka Woodfork; one sister Willie Mae Larry; three brothers Charlie Weatherspoon, Johnny Weatherspoon, James Weatherspoon; sixty-three grandchildren, eighty-seven great-grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
