Our beloved Odell Duckworth, Jr. was born to Dorothy and Odell Duckworth in Friars Point, Mississippi on July 18, 1957.
Odell confessed Christ at an early age. He was a member of Silver Cloud M. B. Church in Friars Point, MS under the leadership of Pastor Amos Bafford.
He was a hard worker, loved to work on vehicles, farm work, and construction worker. Self-employed, he lived in Clarksville, Tennessee with his youngest brother Lionel Duckworth where he remained with failing health until the end.
Visitation will be Friday March 1, 2024, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be at Friendship MB Church, Friars Point, MS, 11:00 AM. Pastor Robert Watkins, officiating. Burial will follow at Friars Point Cemetery.
Odell was preceded in death by his mother and father Dorothy and Odell Duckworth, Grandmother Niece Brown, brother Jimmy Lee Duckworth, sister Christien McGregory Johnson, son Roderick Williams, and grandson Kavonte Schleifer.
Odell Duckworth, Jr. leaves to cherish her memories his precious memories: 2 daughters: Rekisha Duckworth, Rontambia Duckworth of Jacksonville, FL: 7 grandchildren, 3 brothers: Benard Duckworth, Pontiac, MI, Lionel (Lillian) Duckworth of Clarksville, TN, Dennis (Tammie) Duckworth of Friars Point, MS: 7 sisters: Loretha Davis of Friars Point, MS, Mary (Walter) Collins of Clarksdale, MS, Louvian Duckworth of Killeen, TX , Carolina Duckworth of Dermott AR, devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and 2 special friends: Sammy Lofton and Benny Johnson of Friars Point, MS.
Odell will be truly missed.
