Patricia Ann Jones-Hicks

Patricia Ann Jones was born to William Jones & Betty Loyd on August 24, 1964 in Isola, MS.  At age five, she and her mother relocated to Clarksdale where Betty married Eugene Hicks.  She attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated with honors in 1982.  After graduation, Patty moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue a degree in Art and in 1997 married Christophe Honore Adiko.  During her time there, she was employed with the Fox Theatre and Wachovia Bank.  In 2004, after being diagnosed with Huntington’s disease, Patty returned to Clarksdale to the love and support of family and friends where she remained until her journey came to an end earlier this week.

Patricia gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Church of Christ.  She remained a faithful member until her health began to fail.

Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 5, 2019, 11:00 AM at McKinley Church of Christ, 721 McKinley Street, Clarksdale, MS 38614.  The burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  her parents, Eugene and Betty Hicks of Clarksdale, MS; two sisters, Angela Davis-Collier (Fred) of Aurora, IL and Crystal Hicks-Ramsey (Nelghotti) of Walls, MS; one brother, Eugene Hicks, Jr. (Ressia) of Southaven, MS; special friends, Ms. Iralita Gibbs and Darnell Haggan; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
