Patricia Williams Sykes

Patricia Ann Williams Sykes was born on August 13, 1969 to Charlie B. Williams and the late Lillian Houston Wilkins Williams in Farrell, MS. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Seekwell MB Church until their closing. Patricia “Bird” brought a ray of sunshine and great laughter every time she entered the room. She was very sweet and could make a friend wherever she went. Patricia married her knight and shining armor Darron Sykes in 2005 and they were united in holy matrimony until his death in 2010. Patricia worked at Sam’s Town Casino as a Housekeeper until her health failed.

Visitation will be Friday August 27, 2021 at Royal Funeral Home from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 28, 2021, 2:30 PM, at Union Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. L.C. Tyler, II officiating.  Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Lyon, MS.  

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Darron Sykes,  lovely mother Lillian Houston Wilkins Williams, grandparents maternal Houston and Catherine Wilkins, paternal Charlie and Maggie Williams, grandson Jemale Williams, brother Jerome Wilkins, nephews Travis Wilkins and Ke’Iris Strong, 3 uncles WL Wilkins, JW Wilkins, and Cecil Wilkins and 3 aunts Beatrice Reed, Dorothy Harris, and Charlie Mae Wilkins.

Patricia was called to eternal rest on August 17, 2021 at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital in Olive Branch, MS. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories four children Latarius Williams (Fort Pierce, FL) Shatarius Williams and Jemarcius Williams (Robinsonville, MS) and bonus son Joshua Daniel. Her father Charlie B. Williams (Jonestown, MS) three sisters Bobbie (Johnny) Haile (Clarksdale, MS), Linda Fields (Robinsonville, MS), and Sylvia Reed (Tallahassee, FL), a special longtime friend and father of her children Razell Johnson, 12 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
