Janice Griffin-Primer age 51, of Friars Point, MS passed away on Thursday May 26, 2016. Janice was a member of the Clarksdale congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed drawing in her early days and was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed traveling, chatting with family and friends and providing helpful advice. She worked for Clarksdale Nursing Center, Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center and Fresenius Renal Care of Clarksdale. She was proceeded in death by her husband Rogers Lee Primer, parents James and Hazel Griffin, Sr., brothers, John Griffin, Jeffrey Thomas, sisters, LaVerne Kelley and Gloria Gray. Survivors include, daughter Janine Primer, grandson, Jamari Primer; sisters, Jeanette (Bennie) Baber, Joan (Raymond) Shaw, Jacqueline (William) Harris, Jennifer Griffin, Joyce Harris, brothers: James (Jessie) Griffin, Jr., Jerry Griffin, Jeffrey Griffin, Luscious Thomas and Bobby Neal; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a worldwide brotherhood. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Royal Funeral Home 507 Ashton Avenue, Clarksdale MS 38614. Funeral services for Janice will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at The Pinnacle (Coahoma Community College) 3240 Friars Point Road, Clarksdale MS 38614. Interment will be in Friars Point Cemetery. Repast follows at The Pinnacle.
