Sally Mae Kemp-Wilson, 76, of Glendora, MS passed away Sunday October 27, 2019 at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital. Sally was born June 25, 1943 in Glendora, MS to Sam and Sallie Ann Kemp.
Sally spent some of years living in Omaha, NE prior to moving back to her birthplace in May of 2007. Sally was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Glendora, MS where she was the president of the usher board.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home, 507 Ashton Ave., Clarksdale, MS 38614. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday November 2, 2019, 11:00 AM at Persimmon Grove M.B. Church, 107-139 Sharkey Rd., Glendora, MS 38921. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary MB Church Cemetery, Glendora, MS.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Gardine Percy Wilson, Sr.
Sally leaves to cherish her memories 5 children, Kenny Kemp, Parthenia Marie (Elio) James, Gardine Percy Wilson II, Phazaria Rene (Carl) Koonce, Gary Lamar (Sharon) Wilson; 1 sister, Emma "Kee-Kee" Gunter; 8 grandchildren, Gardine Percy (Chanelle) Wilson III, Adrian Wilson, Kyeisha Wilson, Brandon Wesson, Brandi Wilson, Naomi Wilson, Courtney Wilson, and Cobe Koonce; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brother-in-laws, Walter Gray, Lovie (Mary) Gray; 2 sister-in-laws, Georgia Gray and Vera Gray; a host of other relatives and friends.
