Shanika Latwan Grayson

Shanika was born January 22, 1982, in Clarksdale, MS to Sharon Grayson and Jessie Ellis. She accepted Christ at a young age at White Stone M. B. Church of Davenport. 

After the passing of her mother in 1991, Shanika lived with her aunt Rosie Grayson for a little while and later moved to Chicago, IL to live with her father.

Visitation will be Friday August 5, 2022 from 1pm - 3pm at Royal Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life will be Saturday August 6, 2022, 2:00 PM at Union Grove MB Church with the Rev. L.C. Tyler II officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.  

Shanika departed this life on Wednesday, July 20,2022 in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother Sharon Grayson, her father Jessie Ellis, her stepmother Marguerite Ellis, her grandfather L. A. Grayson, her grandmother Lillie Mae Grayson and her cousin Kevin Grayson.

 Shanika leaves to cherish her memories her husband Henry Williams of Chicago, IL, her daughter Ginise Williams, six sons Marvel Williams, Henry Williams II, Quincy Williams, Eamaren Williams, Jessie Williams and Jaquan Williams all of Chicago Illinois. Three brothers Jessie Grayson of Chicago, IL, Jermaine Ellis of Peoria, IL and a stepbrother Luther Penn of Clarksdale, MS and one stepsister Reva Wilson of Clarksdale, MS. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
